Compassionate Waste Service

Wollongong City Council offers the following two waste collection services on compassionate grounds.

1. Wheel Out/ Wheel In Waste Service

Wollongong City Council offers a Waste Collection Service for special needs households who, by nature of a verified, permanent or long-term medical condition, cannot physically present bins to the kerbside.

2. Kidney Dialysis Service

For households generating excessive residual waste associated with Kidney Dialysis of a resident that cannot be managed using the standard collection service, Council offers a Kidney Dialysis 240L Waste to Landfill Service.

Compassionate grounds requests are a limited service. Forms must be completed and sent directly to Wollongong City Council for approval with appropriate documentation confirming the condition.
