Which bin goes out this week? Can that container be recycled? Where should you take an item that doesn’t belong in any of your bins?
Wollongong’s new waste app, provided by LoopedIn Councils, gives you quick, easy and up-to-date waste and recycling information specific to Wollongong.
Wollongong residents can use the LoopedIn Councils app to:
· view a personalised waste collection calendar
· set up bin night reminders
· search the A–Z waste and recycling guide
· find waste facilities and disposal options
· make waste requests, including bin repairs
· receive service alerts and local waste news
You can also find in-depth information on which of the three (green, yellow and red-lid) household bins to use, and details on what’s accepted at the Community Recycling Centre at Kembla Grange.

How to get started
1. Download LoopedIn Councils from the Apple App Store or Google Play
2. Open the app and select City of Wollongong
3. Enter your address to view your collection calendar and set up optional reminders
Already use the Wollongong Waste App?
LoopedIn Councils replaces the Wollongong Waste App.
The Wollongong Waste App will no longer receive updated information or collection reminders. To continue receiving the latest local waste information, download LoopedIn Councils and set up your address and reminders again.
The current app will not update automatically to LoopedIn Councils.

FAQs
Why is the app no longer called Wollongong Waste?
Wollongong’s waste information and services are now available through LoopedIn Councils. Once you select City of Wollongong, the app will display local waste information and services.
Is the app free?
Yes. LoopedIn Councils is free to download and use.
Will my existing reminders transfer?
No. Your existing reminders will not transfer from the Wollongong Waste App to the LoopedIn Councils app. You will need to enter your address and set up new reminders in LoopedIn Councils.
Can I keep using the existing Wollongong Waste App?
The existing Wollongong Waste App will remain available during the transition, but its information and collection reminders will no longer be updated. Download LoopedIn Councils to receive the latest Wollongong waste information and service updates. Where can I get help using the app?
