You can take extra garden waste to our Wollongong Waste & Recovery Park. Tell the weighbridge staff that you have green waste, and they’ll direct you to the drop off area.

What can i do with my Green Waste? 

If you have extra green waste that will not fit in your Residential FOGO Bin, you can bring it to the Wollongong Waste and Resource Recovery Park. Green Waste will be weighed as normal however these materials will be sent across to the purpose-built organic processing facility, SOILCO, in Kembla Grange to undergo proper treatment and be turned into compost.

What Green Waste WILL be Accepted? 

• Grass clippings and leaves
• Pruning’s and twigs
• Untreated timber (no painted or manufactured wood, such as MDF)
• Small branches less than 150mm in diameter.
