Wollongong City Council have organised Garden Waste Drop-Off Events across the Wollongong LGA.
These events are being held to assist residents in disposing of garden waste. Please see below for more information on your closest drop-off location and the requirements.
Drop-off locations:
- Ziems Park, Corrimal (Entry from Short St) Sunday, 2nd of November 2025 from 7:30 am to 12:00 pm
- Rex Jackson Park, Helensburgh (Entry from Walker St or Robertson St) Sunday, 9th November 2025 from 7:30 am to 12:00 pm
- Fred Finch Park, Berkeley (Entry from Bedford St, no through traffic to stadium) Sunday, 16th November 2025 from 7:30 am to 12:00 pm
What you can bring?
- Residential green waste only – no tip truck or commercial vehicles.
- Branches must be less than 10cm in diameter, and no longer than roughly one meter so our compactors can handle them.
- No tree trunks.
Attending these events
- Drive into the car park and queue in your vehicle for your turn to unload. We will try to include as many people as possible, but if queues become too long, some vehicles could be turned away.
- For everyone’s safety, please stay in your vehicle except when untying a load. Staff will be on hand to help.
