Still relying on your neighbours to work out which bin to put out?

Personalised bin night reminders are now available through the LoopedIn Councils app, the new home for all things Wollongong waste information and services.

LoopedIn Councils replaces the existing Wollongong Waste App, which will no longer receive updated information or collection reminders. Residents who use the existing app will need to download LoopedIn Councils and set up their reminders again.

Lord Mayor of Wollongong Councillor Tania Brown said the new app would make it easier for residents to find clear, locally relevant waste information.

“Waste services and sorting rules differ between local government areas, so it’s important that residents have information relevant to where they live,” Cr Brown said.

Whether you’re checking which bin goes out, looking up an item in the A–Z sorting guide or organising a bin repair, the information is all in one place.

By downloading LoopedIn Councils and selecting City of Wollongong, residents can access:

  • a personalised waste collection calendar
  • optional bin night reminders
  • an easy-to-use A–Z waste and recycling guide
  • waste facility locations
  • access to make waste requests, including bin repairs
  • personalised service alerts and local waste news
